Objectives: To achieve a general understanding of the nature of hearing loss and how it impacts d/hh students’ language and education achievement Learning outcomes: After attending the 1-credit course, students would: · Understand the nature and the cause of hearing loss to appreciate the consequences brought about by hearing loss and how they impact D/HH individuals. (SDG #3: Good Health and Well-Being) · Acquire some basic skills and strategies to interact with D/HH individuals, reducing inequality in information accessibility and education. (SDG #10: Reduced Inequalities). · Foster positive values of respect, empathy, and inclusion among students. (SDG #10: Reduced Inequalities). · Promote self-directed learning via an asynchronous online teaching and learning mode (SDG #4: Quality education) · Acquire some lifelong learning strategies for communicating with D/HH individuals in society in the future (SDG #16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions; SDG #4: Quality education)

Hispanic Culture course to be hosted on Moodle for The Chinese University Students. The courseware will consist of a set of pedagogical materials divided into 7 modules covering a variety of cultural components in the Hispanic world. These activities will be supported by audio visual materials with multimedia tasks and explicative videos in each unit.
